Terra Motors plans to launch its electric vehicles (EV) in India at Auto Expo 2014. Talking to Autocar Professional, the country manager Teppei Seki says the Japanese firm will soon introduce its electric scooters and three-wheelers.
Terra’s A4000i scooter uses a lithium-ion battery capable of providing up to 65km of driving range with a charging time of 4.5 hours. The battery can be removed for charging and has a lifetime of around 50,000km.
The company is also planning to release a three-wheeled EV later this year. Terra has previously said the e-trike will have a top speed of 50km/h and driving range of 50km.
